Wet hair should not be brushed.
Don't brush too energetically, as tension caused by brushing promotes splitting.
Have a Trim routinely.
Use a shampoo which lists sunscreen as a major ingredient.
It's perfect to apply a broad tooth comb if your hair is susceptible to splitting.
To manage the issue of falling hair, massage with olive oil. Rinse towel in warm water and then wrap your head with that towel. Do it once more when it get cools. Do this for 15 minutes prior to shampooing.
